Marina Square in Downtown Fort Pierce is the place to be May 1st – 3rd. All three days are jam-packed with events for the whole family, featuring the best aspects of what has become a true renaissance in downtown Fort Pierce.
This first weekend in May marks the 11th Annual Downtown Fort Pierce Boat Show and Waterfront Festival. Through the duration of the weekend, The City of Fort Pierce owned and operated City Marina presents the Annual Fort Pierce Downtown Boat Show, a weekend event featuring Boats and RV’s, food vendors, music and much, much more. The event is free to the public.
In conjunction with the boat show is the Hibiscus Children’s Center Annual Charity Fishing Tournament, the Offshore Big 3 Fishing Tournament on May 2nd. Anglers come from all over the Treasure Coast to compete for top prizes luring in the biggest Kingfish, Dolphin, and Wahoo.
May 1st is Friday Fest. Held every first Friday of the month from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., Friday Fest has become the most popular street festival on the Treasure Coast. Friday Fest features live entertainment, food, drinks, arts and crafts and children’s activities as well as an opportunity for people to meet old friends and make new ones.
Saturday, May 2nd is the Downtown Fort Pierce Farmer’s Market. This is a weekly gathering of local businesses in a festival-like setting. The Farmer’s Market is just as popular as Friday Fest, and also features live entertainment, food, drinks, arts and crafts and children’s activities. Additionally, you will find fresh vegetables grown locally. Plan to come out to the Market between 7a.m to 1p.m on Saturday morning. Spend the whole time out there or just come for a couple of hours. Every member of the family will find something worth talking about!
